Sojourner - Traveling with the “Canman”

Telluride is an oasis tucked in the mountains.  Staying at an Airbnb with the owners who go skiing and trekking off the beaten path with their dogs. Amazing stamina and endurance. There are other ways to live one's life. And at night a fabulous act called the Doo Wap Project recreating a Jersey Boy's like act at the Telluride Theater. These intimate venues are so much more enjoyable than the big concerts where the performers are just dots on a stage.

Have you ever been truly alone for days? It's something every one should do in a challenging place. It's the only way to find yourself gain perspective, and conquer fear. My trek was in the apply named Desolation Wilderness. It's where I want my ashes scattered. More Photos

An amazing trek that took me through time.  My son and I carried our own packs, but we were humbled by the amazing sherpas, who carry more on in a sack and beat us to our next stop and have everything ready.  But this ancient Inca civilization was backward and brutal.  Child sacrifices and they never figured out using a wheel.  What!?  Photos

India! Jaisalmer, Bangalore, Ledak Valley, Kashmir, Delhi... Growing up, I always wanted to be an astronaut exploring strange new worlds. Working in India may be the closest I get in this life.  An ancient culture with dozens of dialects, Gods, and Bollywood movie stars, It is a land of contrast. From intense desert heat to towering Himalayas with highest airport in the world to overflowing cities.  5 Star Taj hotel opulence is side by side with abject poverty where people people live on a mountain of trash, and mothers beg with amputee children in their arms.  This is a culture where 30% of the population has no running water and toilets, but very well be the next country to put a human on the moon.  And regardless India will be the most populace country in the world by 2050 outpacing China.
