Vigezzo Skiing

Image
Skiing in Italian Alps.  Mom and pop ski resort where I met Dominic -"Volpe" Vopati, once a big soccer star.

Scuba in Okinawa

Image
Okinawa is a great place to learn to scuba! In some ways scuba is similar to flying in formation. On the third day we went out to the Zumami Islands on a boat. Toyo was my instructor.  He left a software job in Tokyo to follow his bliss and run his own shop.  I admire him. Google, Deep Emotion scuba if you want to have an authentic native experience. Think I have found my next passion after flying!  Scuba Fotos

Matterhorn (aka Zermatt)

Image
Matterhorn (aka Cervino in Italian) from Swiss side near Zermatt.  Just a beautiful 2 hour drive from Arona where I stay thru tunnels. I much prefer the way Italians and Swiss preserve their scenery with tunnels. Mozzafiato (Breathtaking) More photos

Rockstar in Nagoya

Living the dream of playing in a band.  GC Live is a fantastic club in Nagoya  Japan.  $15 gets you 2 drinks and the chance to jam with other musicians at all levels.  Very cool!

Papa's Birthday

Image
Celebrating my dad's 93rd birthday in Placerville and a picture when he was 16 with his papa. He passed the next month. Life is short and we are so quickly, "dust in the wind"

Digesting the Road Less Travelled in DC

Image
While visiting my son we spent some time digesting the poem, The Road Less Travelled, by Robert Frost. Worth doing to better appreciate the title of one of my favorite books and perusing the ancient philosophy curriculum at the University of Maryland. We also visited his 95 year old neighbor, who was a WW2 bomber pilot in Europe. Shared harrowing tails of missions and surviving the most dangerous job in the war. More rationale to follow one's bliss...Does that mean going back to study filosofia?

Yangon, Myanmar

So much history and so many smiles. You can live like a king here. Most compelling are the Massages. Cheap enough to afford everyday. It's calling me back😊

Bangkok, Thailand

Image
The temples are magnificent and the massages are amazing and cheap. The quandary for me is why this bastion of Buddhism doesn't more fully embrace the philosophy? Delusions remain the bain of humanity.

Italia

Arona, Italia.  A meravigliosa place for buon cibo, musica, amicizia and vistas! Sights, Sounds and Amici

La Vita e Bella

Image
Living in the NOW on the way to ski at Cervania, which is the Italian side of the Matterhorn.  Italians seem to me to understand how to live more holistically. It's a great lifestyle. I wonder if it can survive in a world of relentless go go competition? As for me I subscribe to ricorda il bambino dentro di te e segui la tua felicità. (remember the child inside you and follow your bliss)!
